The Meaning of Waiting

Let us embrace waiting. Even if the longing it gathers feels empty and slow.

A longing that quietly accumulates, spreading here and there over time.

Let us create waiting. Even if the longing born from it brings sorrow and helplessness.

As I reflect on my thoughts, the longing gently builds, piece by piece.

As time passes, and if by chance we meet, let us think of the words we’ll share.

Within that longing, I will shape my story and walk my path.

Someday, in a future that once felt endlessly far, let us remember the fruits of waiting.

Today, once again, I walk my path and carry on.

기다림을 품어보자.
그렇게 모인 그리움이
허전하고 지루할지라도

 

그렇게 모아서
쌓인 그리움
이곳저곳에

 

기다림을 만들어보자.
그렇게 생긴 그리움이
아프고 막막할지라도

 

나 혼자 생각에 미루어
하나 둘 쌓아올린 그리움

 

시간이 흐르고
우연히 마주친다면
나눌 인사말을 떠올려보자

 

그 그리움 속에
나의 이야기를 만들고
나의 길을 걷자

 

그 언젠가,
무수히 멀게만 느껴졌던 훗날에
기다림의 결실을 떠올려보자

 

오늘도 나는
나의 할 일을 해 나간다
